ABOUT OUR PRESENTER
Matt Heyward, acclaimed performer and director, will present this dynamic two-day audition workshop. With over 20 years of musical theatre experience (Les Mis, Mamma Mia and more), Matt brings insider insight from the stage and audition panel.
Perfect for senior students and early-career performers, this intensive workshop will build confidence, sharpen your skills, and assist you to thrive in the audition room—and beyond.

Matt will be joined by a panel of leading industry professionals including:
- Professor Paul Sabey, Former Director of Musical Theatre & Associate Principal at Mountview Academy, London (23 years) and Founder of Griffith University’s Bachelor of Musical Theatre , now Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre, published composer, Musical Director, Vocal Coach and Arranger. Paul’s graduates perform globally across theatre, film and TV. Directed 90+ West End showcases, concerts in London & Brisbane. Mental health advocate in the arts.
- Jai Higgs, Aran Michael Management (AMM), 13+ years industry experience in live and film performance and events management including as a Talent Agent representing an impressive roster of clients including: Shubshri Kandiah, Des Flanagan, Gemma Chua-Tran, Dr Chris Brown, Carrie Bickmore & Margot Robbie.
