CREW ALUMNI

Maggie James, Crew Alumni & Former Vocal Director

Maggie, a Crew alumni, is a graduate of the Bachelor of Music at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, University of Tasmania as well as having trained with Jane Edwards. She was the Vocal Director for Crew’s Senior and Intermediate Performance Ensembles over 3 years. In 2017, Maggie starred as Dorothy in the Crew's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie following her dramatic performance as the Witch in Into the Woods in 2016. Maggie was a cast member of The Show Company's Wicked in 2017, played the title role (alternate) of Mary Poppins in 2018 and in 2020 starred as Sophie in Mamma Mia, all at the Theatre Royal. Maggie is now a lead singer with the Australian Navy Band in Sydney. SNAPSHOT: Maggie has the voice of an angel, which you could listen to all day!
